Hangar 18 is working with Richmond Centre to create an indoor tribute to a Spring of epic proportions - together, we've branded it "BLOSSOM at Richmond Centre". Starting on February 24th, visit Richmond Centre to experience their spring garden installation - including a sea of living flowers, a bamboo forest, a full-scale wooden bridge and a traditional Wishing Tree.
Central to Blossom at Richmond Centre is the flowering Wishing Tree - a tradition that’s embraced by many cultures around the world. While the type of tree may vary, the concept is the same: individuals write and attach their wishes to the branches of a tree. It is thought the concentration of many positive wishes will increase the likelihood of them coming true. Indeed, the power of the wish is profound!
For every wish that gets attached to the Flowering Wishing Tree (pick up a form at Customer Care in the mall), Richmond Centre will be donating $1 to the Children’s Wish Foundation* - a very worthy cause that grants a favorite wish for children afflicted with a high risk, life-threatening illness. The more wishes, the bigger the wish Richmond Centre can give a deserving child!
Hangar 18 is thrilled to be able to welcome an early spring with Richmond Centre, and we're especially pleased to support the Children’s Wish Foundation. We're looking forward to seeing the installation - if Richmond Centre's Christmas BELIEVE campaign is an indication of their level of enthusiasm for the seasons, BLOSSOM is sure to be epic! What's our wish for the Flowering Wishing Tree? That spring actually DOES arrive on February 24th...BRRRRR.
